As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, Roblox does not have an official built-in voice chat feature. However, players have been using third-party applications to communicate with each other while playing Roblox. Please be cautious when using external voice chat services and make sure to follow Roblox’s terms of service and community guidelines.
Here’s a general guide on how you can set up voice chat while playing Roblox using an external application:
Using Discord for Voice Chat:
- Download and Install Discord:
- Go to the official Discord website, download the application, and follow the installation instructions.
- Create a Discord Account:
- If you don’t have a Discord account, sign up for one.
- Create a Server:
- You can create your own server or join an existing one. A server is like a chat room where you can invite friends to join.
- Invite Friends:
- Invite your Roblox friends to join your Discord server. You can do this by generating an invite link within Discord.
- Set Up Voice Channels:
- Within your Discord server, set up voice channels where you and your friends can communicate while playing Roblox.
- Use Discord Alongside Roblox:
- Open both the Roblox game and Discord application. While playing Roblox, you can use Discord for voice communication with your friends.
Remember, always follow safety guidelines and be cautious when sharing personal information or joining voice chats with strangers. Only communicate with people you trust and have verified.
Please check for any updates or changes in Roblox’s policies or features since my last update in September 2021.
